Toya Turner, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Toya completed her undergraduate studies at Phillips Community College where she received her ADN in 2014 and in 2019, she earned her BSN from Walden University. She began her nursing career in 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital where she served at the bedside on a very busy ICU Stepdown Unit. It was there that she realized her calling and accepted the call to serve as a mental health nurse practitioner. Toya enrolled in Walden's graduate program with a concentration in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the winter of 2019 and earned her MSN. Today, Toya is board certified by the ANCC and she is licensed in the state of Tennessee to diagnose and treat mental health issues.

Toya is married to her wonderful husband of 7 years and has a beautiful blended family that includes 6 children and 3 grandchildren. She has a passion to provide individualized, safe, effective, and evidence-based care in the community. Toya has the determination to help topple the stigma surrounding mental health and associated issues through care, leadership, and education.
